Block: Thursday May 29 - We have a full day planned for staff!

Help us get ready for Summer Operations. Employee Lift Evac Training, Mountain Clean-up, Adv Center, Biking, & a Party! 

 

Enjoy training, cleaning up the mountain, biking and the Adventure Center Thursday, May 29. We invite active staff to join us next week. 

 

Staff must be off the clock while biking or at the Adventure Center, have their employee ID & receive approval from their supervisor/manager first. Staff can remain on the clock if they are participating in the lift evacuation training and mountain clean up. 

Thursday, May 29 

 Snowshed Lift Evacuation Training: 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. 

  • Ski Patrol would like to begin the Summer Evacuation training schedule with a full-scale evacuation demonstration on Snowshed on Thursday, May 29th. This is an opportunity to be evacuated from the chair and have the “guest” experience and observe how the process works. Ski Patrol conducts evacuation training 3 times a month and anyone who is interested in being an evacuation team member may attend these trainings. The rope work is a perishable skill that requires repetition. This and all trainings are available to any staff currently employed throughout the summer.  

REQUIRMENTS  

  • Availability to participate and approval from your manager.  
  • Must wear a helmet for lift evacuation training. 
  • Proper footwear to walk down Snowshed after you are evacuated 
  • Active Employees Only, advanced registration is not required.

Mountain Clean-Up: 11:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. 

  • Check in near the Snowshed Umbrella Bar to grab bags or gloves 
  • Don’t forget to wear proper footwear   
  • We’ll provide trash bags and rubber gloves  
  • Please sign up through this link.  We’ve identified different areas around the resort for team members to tidy up.  

Free Rental Bike & Ride: Snowshed Express Quad 1:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M.   

  • Staff with their own bike can go direct to the lift however if you need a complimentary bike rental package, you will need to stop at a ticket window first before heading to the rental shop. 

Adventure Center: 1:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M.  

  • Help our team get trained on how to operate the summer attractions and enjoy the thrills our Adventure Center has to offer.  
  • Attractions available: Beast Coaster, Soaring Eagle, Zip Line and the Ropes Course.  
  • Staff will need to stop at a ticket window first to get a wristband for the day.  

Snowshed Umbrella Bar: 3:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M.  

  • 1 drink ticket per person then a cash bar, heavy hors d’oeuvres & live music will be available.
