POWDR Family Resorts – Complimentary Skiing
Resorts in the POWDR family offer complimentary skiing to:
- FT-12 / FT-10 employees
- FTS employees
- PTS employees
- Eligible dependents
No reciprocal letter required.
Active employee passes work directly at POWDR resort gates.

Industry Reciprocal Letters
If the resort you wish to visit is not part of POWDR or IKON, you may request an Industry Reciprocal Letter, which may result in a discounted ticket at the visiting resort.
Eligibility Requirements
- Killington Resort must be open
- You must be currently employed (full-time or part-time)
- Dependents are not eligible
- Volunteers are not eligible
Visiting resorts are not obligated to provide discounts. Many ski areas only accept reciprocal skiers/riders' midweek and non-holiday.
Active Volunteers (In Good Standing)
Active volunteers in good standing are eligible for benefits at POWDR family resorts as outlined below.
POWDR Family Resorts
- Three (3) complimentary ski days per season.
- After three days, lift/access is 50% off the current window price
- Reciprocal letters are required for all volunteer visits
Please note:
- Volunteers must be in good standing at the time of the request
- Visiting resorts are not obligated to honor discounts
- Blackout dates and midweek-only restrictions may apply at certain locations
Laid-Off Employees (In Good Standing)
Employees who have been laid off in good standing remain eligible to request a Reciprocal Privileges Letter for visits to POWDR family resorts.
Important:
- This benefit applies to POWDR Resorts only
- Visiting resorts are not obligated to provide complimentary or discounted access.
- Blackout dates and midweek-only restrictions may apply.
- Proof of prior employment and good standing may be required.
Reciprocal Letter Request Process & Policies
Request Timing
Requests made more than two (2) weeks prior to your visit will automatically not be approved.
Verification Process
After submitting the Reciprocal Request Form:
- Killington Resort & Pico Mountain Human Resources will verify:
- You are an active employee or eligible volunteer
- You are in good standing
- Dependents meet eligibility requirements
Eligible dependents are defined as those who meet the criteria for obtaining a dependent season pass (see Employee Handbook).
Once verification is complete, Reciprocal Letters will be sent to the email address provided on the request form.
Letter Requirements
A physical (printed) letter is required when redeeming at the visiting resort. A digital copy may not be accepted.
If you do not have access to a printer, letters may be printed in the HR office for pickup.
Redeeming at the Visiting Resort
When you arrive at the resort:
- Visit the resort’s ticket window
- Present your Reciprocal Letter
- Present your valid Killington Resort & Pico Mountain employee or volunteer pass
Eligible dependents do not need to be accompanied by the employee when redeeming a Reciprocal Letter.
Additional Policies
- Blackout periods apply during peak times such as holidays or special events
- Visiting resorts are not obligated to provide complimentary or discounted access
- This program is discretionary and subject to change at any time without notice
