- In order to obtain an Industry Reciprocal letter, the following criteria must be met:
- Killington Resort must be open.
- You must be currently employed with full-time or part-time status (each ski resort defines their own policy on what reciprocal benefit to extend).
- Other areas are not obligated to issue any complimentary or discounted tickets.
- Many ski areas only accept reciprocal skiers/riders during mid-week, non-holiday periods.
- In order to obtain an Industry Reciprocal letter, the following criteria must be met:
For active volunteers in good standing:
- Resorts in the POWDR Corp family offer three free days to volunteers. After those three days, lift/access will be 50% off current window price.
Employees who have been laid-off in good standing are still eligible to receive a Reciprocal Privileges letter to any POWDR Resort. This applies to POWDR Resorts ONLY.
In order to take advantage of these perks, you will need a Reciprocal letter.
- Submit a Reciprocal Request form (found below) for the resort and day you plan on visiting. You must submit a Reciprocal Request form for each individual day, for each person traveling.
For example: FTS employee John Doe wants to snowboard at Copper Mountain with his wife, Jane for four (4) days. He will need to submit eight (8) Reciprocal Request forms.
Requests made more than two weeks out from your visit will automatically not be approved.
The Human Resources office hours have changed for the season and we are now open Monday - Friday 8am-4pm.
If you are looking to get reciprocal letters for a Saturday or Sunday, make sure you submit your requests before Friday at 3pm.
- When the form is submitted, Killington Resort & Pico Mountain Human Resources will verify that you are an active employee and in good standing (and that dependents are eligible. Eligible dependents are defined as dependents that meet the criteria for obtaining a dependent season pass; see the Employee Handbook, page 35)
- Once verification is complete, you will receive your Reciprocal letters through the email address indicated on the Reciprocal Request form.
A physical letter is required upon redeeming at the visiting location. A digital copy may not be accepted. If you do not have access to a printer, your letters can be printed in the HR office to be picked up.
At the resort you're visiting, you will need to present your Reciprocal letter and your valid 2023/2024 Killington Resort & Pico Mountain employee/volunteer pass to the visiting resort's ticket window to exchange for lift tickets.
Blackout periods apply during peak periods such as holidays or special events. Eligible dependents do not need to be accompanied by an employee when redeeming Reciprocal letter. This program is discretionary and subject to change at any time without notice.
Remember - You are a representative of Killington Resort & Pico Mountain, so be professional and courteous.
